We all know that you should not eat after 18:00. Some of us know better and do not eat for 2-3 hours before bedtime. But what to do when your stomach just demands something, and we know that there is no chance for sleep with rumbling belly?
Then you do yourself a smoothie.
Fruits, vegetables, water, yogurt, frozen or fresh… smoothie can be made of almost anything and you get a tasty, nutritious and quick snack.
Green vegetables (when choosing one, we pick these with deeper, darker color) surprisingly contain a lot of amino acids. Enough to deliver proteins, which in turn will help to rebuild muscle mass.
But the problem with the amino acids in plants lies in the fact that the vegetables should be chewed almost semi-solid consistency, and who is actually patient enough to chew leaves for an hour or two?
Fortunately, we have blenders.
1-2 leaves of lettuce – choose any Roman, radicchio…
6 – 8 leaves of spinach
3-4 stalks of green celery
juice of half a lime (can be replaced with lemon juice)
1.5 l of water
for enrichment you can add chia seeds, flax, goji berries
- Fruit and vegetable wash, peel, cut into pieces.
- Place into a blender, add water.
- Blend thoroughly.
